IKARE Mood, Trauma, Recovery Clinic — Ketamine Clinic in San Antonio, TX

Updated 12/31/2025. After receiving treatment for more than one year I am still 100 satisfied. Yes they did move to a different floor. It is amazing how they make you feel at home. I have always used the text messages and have always received a response. They also provided a phone number where you can talk to them. For the previous horrible comments of what you went through, it's hard for me to understand or believe it. I have received the best care and close communication since day one. You need to try the new facility same address but on the 3rd floor. You will be satisfied. God bless Dr Q, and staff. I've been under the care off Dr. Q for the last past year til now. I have nothing but great things to say about him, Frank and Melissa. My refills are in time, my schedule with Frank and Melissa are flexible. They really try their best to make the patients comfortable. I read all the horrible comments below. I believe that was the previous clinic. This clinic is nothing like described by the previous comments. I'm so sorry for the patients that went through that horrible experience. But I can only tell you that this office treat their patients great with caring, kindness and respect. Thank you Ikare staff.

If you care about your mental health, please find another mental health clinic. A family member and I were patients of iKare for some years… until they completely ghosted us. I had no access to my doctor which meant no access to my medications and I went through withdrawal. My family member was also “ghosted” by their clinician but was lucky enough to get a “bridge prescription” from their PCP until they could find a new psychiatric provider.

I went here for a few years, it was next to impossible to get a hold of anyone. Cannot find a fax number or call number. The website is broken so I can’t use it to get a hold of anyone. I need my medical records and have no way to request them for my new doctor. Please help me get in touch so I can continue treatment.

If you are struggling with depression or just need Therapy of any kind or maybe you just need other options when standard medication has failed you! Think Ikare Mood and Trauma for the tha place to go. Located in the medical center area with Doctor's and medical staff that really care about you as more then just a patient but as a whole person that needs healing and will go the extra mile to make sure you don't lose everything in the process. IKare has been taking care of me for about 4 years with no issues. Even when the change in management/ownership happened, I never had a problem getting a hold of someone. The doctor that helps me now is amazing!!! 🙂

I was very disappointed with the recent changes at Ikare. The move happened without any communication to patients, and when I finally found out, I learned that my counselor was no longer available. The entire setup has changed, and while the staff are friendly, the lack of accessibility is unacceptable. Phone calls go unanswered, messages aren’t returned, and it’s nearly impossible to get through to anyone when you need support. I have voiced my concerns several times through the only method they allow—text messaging—and all I am told is to “wait until my appointment to speak with the doctor.” Even when I’ve asked staff to send a message to the doctor sooner, they refuse. This is very unprofessional and leaves patients without the timely care they need. As a working college student, I rely on consistent access to medication and therapy, and this has become a real struggle. Frank was always helpful in working with me through my treatments, but now there are no counseling services offered at all. It feels like the focus has shifted from patient care to just getting paid, which is extremely discouraging. Patients deserve reliable care and communication—especially when dealing with their mental health needs.

At Ikare, they really do "know they're stuff". Since I was a teen I've seen my share of places (some not so helpful or to proper standards) Finding Ikare has been a Godsend for me! The staff & Dr..really do care!... I've received both TMS & am currently on Spravato therapy. I can truly see progress for the first time & I feel positive about the direction my treatment is going. Melissa & Frank are amazing and understanding. Better late than not.. I am on my way to the best ME I can be. Thank you IKare!

My doctor referred me to this clinic but the phone number doesn't work! The website says to use the chat, but there is no chat box on the bottom right the page. What's going on? How do Get through?

Phone does not answer except to give you a different number to text. Have sent 3 texts for refills, no response. Cannot get a refill for my anti-anxiety medication. Cannot get a person on the phone. Pharmacy, Walgreens, has contacted the office for authorization with no response.

I have been diagnosed with MS starting February 2018. If you have MS as well you will know the weirdness you feel when it comes on. I didn't feel like myself and lashed out at others for not understanding what I was going through. I can tell you that Ikare has helped me immeasurably finding myself again. Frank and Melissa are without a doubt the most understanding and helpful person's I've met in a long time. Their kindness puts me at ease. The Spravato and Tms treatments are really a Godsend. Much thanks to Dr.Q for recommending me for the treatments. I am in love with this team!
