Rocky Mountain Mind and Body - integrative psychiatric practice and Ketamine Infusion Therapy — Ketamine Clinic in Englewood, CO

First, I want to preface that this practice doesn’t solicit reviews from folks, so their reviews are legit. Second, a simple google review doesn’t begin to express my gratitude to every single person at this practice, but it’s a start! I was diagnosed with complex PTSD in 2019 and I have tried most every option available to help me, minus the brain implants or electrical stimulation, neither of which did I want. After hitting a wall and refusing to accept that this was the best my life was ever going to get, and after a lot of time online and with my trauma therapist, I decided to try infusion therapy. I started with another practice that randomly shut down after 2 infusions, but I had results from them and I knew I needed to complete my therapy. So I found RMMB and I am so grateful for that. 100% wishing I had started with them! From the first contact with Porter, the entire experience was different. They were prompt in responding and answering any questions I had, and I had a lot. She’s one of the owners of the practice and she is who you start off speaking with, I didn’t know she was an owner until like my third session. That’s how down to earth and hands on they are. As far as the actual infusion, it was a much more in depth process. You get a guide who helps you get prepared and helps you come back from your journey, and they have snacks and drinks waiting! They also help you process whatever comes up, which was so helpful for me. There’s also Dr Steve who can help process things, and he’s such a great human. Everyone there is. If you’re at a point where nothing else has worked and you’re not living your life, you need to give these folks a call or shoot them an email. They gave me my life back, and it is worth the cost to smile and to be happy again. It’s the first time in probably decades that I’m not on edge and constantly living in a perpetual state of flight or fight. My friends and loved ones can tell a difference in me and I’m running circles around my fiancé. It also has helped with chronic pain and cut out my emotional eating. I’m back to being able to walk and participate in life again without pain. It’s even helped with the lingering numbness after a spinal cord injury. This had been miraculous for me, and I’m a different person than who I was. Thank you all for everything! You save lives there and exude positivity and support, and I’m a much better human having met you!

I am so glad that I chose this clinic to work with this time around! The first time I did ketamine infusion I chose to go with Vitalitas, mainly because they were the cheapest clinic in town. Well let me tell you that you definitely get what you pay for! With that clinic I was in and out within 50 minutes, most of the time, barely conscious and able to walk. They took no time to understand my situation or help me to feel supported. Their job is simply to administer the medicine and send you on your way.This time around I felt deserving of more care and so I chose based on my gut versus the price point. And I have to say, this was the best decision!! The care that I received from the entire staff was unmatched. They TRULY care about, not only your outcome, but your experience within the ketamine space. The infusions may be the same from clinic to clinic but I have to say, something magical happens with the medicine when it is received in a safe container. Within the container created by these caring human beings I felt safe to unravel so much pain, suffering and even happiness that had been stuffed away. This was nothing like my first experience with the initial infusion process. The people that administered the medicine at that clinic seemed to know nothing about ketamine and had never done it themselves. It feels so different to be able to relate to people that have actual experience with the medicine and can guide you as you meet new territory. Having a guide with you before and after each session is so important. Even more important than I originally would have imagined. But being able to process some of my experience and build upon each session with my guides was SO helpful. After my experience with Vitalitas I felt present relief but it did not last long. However after this recent experience I can say that I feel completely changed. And even more importantly I feel like I have hope for a future where I am supported by this powerful medicine and this wonderful team. That alone makes life feel more manageable and hopeful. Of course we all wish ketamine was more affordable but for myself, I know that I will work hard to budget for continued care provided by Rocky Mountain Mind and Body. My gratitude for this clinic extends beyond words can express. I’ve been seeing Steve since 2018, and through countless infusions, his care and expertise have helped me through some of the hardest years of my life. Steve and his team are not only highly skilled, but also incredibly kind and patient! The clinic itself is clean, comfortable, and feels safe—there’s truly nothing else like it when it comes to comprehensive ketamine infusion therapy. OK, let me start off by saying I hate to give this place one star. It’s actually been a little while since it happened, but I was too traumatized to really get involved or do anything. I was so mistreated and the therapist or psychiatrist that did the assessment lied about the reason that she did not approve me. Even though I explained to her prior to starting the assessment that I had very recently my trust and my faith in psychiatrist completely destroyed. Long story short family member trying to ruin my life called and they spoke and whatever they told my psychiatrist during our next appointment, he didn’t ask what happened. He just declined to do the things that he was supposed to and I was on my own. I am one of those people that needs to have a therapist and a psychiatrist because it’s so helpful that I can’t not. But I want nothing more than to trust these people again. But that’s not what happened the woman that did my assessment not only lied about the reason she denied me but when inquiring about it and challenging her, she changed the reason during that challenge and then told the second reason to the doctors. She doubled down on her mistake. That is what it was and if I needed to just answer some questions calmly I could’ve done so I explained to her prior to the assessment, it wasn’t the right place or time, but it was the first one I’ve had since this incident with the other one. I did file a complaint with the border psychiatrist on. You know I don’t understand maybe liability but I could’ve sued this place for that incident. Considering I recorded it. I’m afraid it will affect my ability to get treatment in the future and I haven’t done so even though it is Barr hands-down the most effective thing I’ve ever had done for someone who is considered treatment resistant, and the percentage of people this has happened to the reason that she gave for not approving it. Well, I believe it is something like .5% or it even might just be five people. It’s an induced manic state due to the treatment. Well, I always would go there when I was feeling some type of manic coming on because it would wipe it out completely. I’ve been there multiple times over multiple years and had nothing but success I mean it would Barr non-hands-down change my life forever and they took that away from me and refused to really talk to me about it. Again, I imagine because a liability well guess what? I only didn’t sue because though I may not have a hypocritical oath, I care about the people that are getting treatment because of how effective it was for me I wasn’t willing to even consider possibly taking that away from somebody else. Maybe I wouldn’t have, but I just wasn’t gonna risk it and I was in the mental state to do so. But like I said, the treatment is incredible absolutely incredible and I’m planning on going to try somewhere else again this is all just been too much. I went from really being a case of like success to literally deteriorating and being afraid to go to any other place because of these people and it’s not Steve himself the guy who started the place he has my personal cell he could’ve called liabilities just to important has Steve.? You know you would’ve been less likely to have an issue if you had just addressed the problem and gave me another assessment. But I don’t know what’s going on there. He might not run it anymore. He was one of the best doctors I’ve ever met. Corporate things sucks I know guidelines change. Choute it is kind of my fault. It took more than a year to go, but it’s because of your effective treatment being too effective. Just let this sink in. I have no Hippocratic oath , but it was so effective that I chose not to sue because I could affect potentially just possibly someone else from getting treatment so I didn’t.

This has been the best clinic I have ever worked with. I have been a ketamine patient for 8 years and have worked with Steve for 3 years of that now. No provider have I felt has fought harder for my care. The whole team makes me feel incredibly safe and cared for. I have some very horrific chronic pain flares and Rocky Mountain Mind & Body does all they can to help when no one else will. Their team even helps coordinate with my other providers when necessary due to the uniqueness of ketamine treatment. I am immensely grateful for this wonderful clinic.
