Staff and drs here are very helpful great experience across the board. Staff will call back right away if I leave a message and they follow through with my request. My Dr is great and listens.

Unlike most, I've not had billing issues, but I've had major issues with the providers. Three therapists, all left... there's no care consistency here with their staff. Their turnover should tell you everything you need to know. Not a single provider here cared enough to listen to my concerns and work with me on a constructive treatment plan. This place will be defunct soon, there's no doubt about it. Look somewhere else for your care.

UPDATE: Synergy has fraudulent billing practices. They didn’t send me a billing statement, charged my credit card, and I had to reach out to them to send me the statement. When I received the statement, the billing codes used are inaccurate. The charges are fraud. I will be working with my credit card company, insurance, and reporting them to the State. This company should be closed down. I should have listened to the negative reviews before going here. I had a in-person consultation only to be told that they are no longer accepting new patients and they refuse to help me extend my STD. My PCP referred me here and now I have to start over again. Thanks for nothing Synergy. Take my money and be on your way.

Great friendly staff with highly trained and professional doctor’s, Especially Dr.Rodriguez. I highly recommend him as his personal touch is rare, unique and a welcome pleasure.

I would rate a -0- if I could…While I had good experiences with Michael Nango I abhor their billing & looking through reviews I see it’s a long standing issue with many others. Synergy took $200 fraudulently without my authorization for two “no shows.” I contested the two no shows & they have done nothing to correct the situation. Calls are not returned & you cannot get a “live” person when you call. It’s a frustrating merry-go-round. The first no show was before I saw their paperwork; the second no show was for an appointment I did not make. Whatever you do DO NOT GIVE DEBIT/CREDIT CARD information to them. I cancelled my appointment & Synergy took $200 from my account. As a 70 yr old senior citizen I was faced with struggling to pay my rent. Multiple calls later with their less than user friendly phone system = no resolution.

I was surprised to see so many 1-star reviews. I’ve been a patient at Scottsdale Mental Health and Wellness—now Synergy Mental Health and Wellness—since 2021, and my experience has been consistently positive. I see Sam at the Scottsdale office and Amy at the Tempe location, and I truly can’t say enough good things about both of them. Sam is one of the most attentive and knowledgeable providers I’ve worked with. She takes the time to discuss treatment plans collaboratively and always makes sure I feel involved in the process. She’s also very responsive on the patient portal—usually replying within a few hours or by the end of the day. I highly recommend booking with her if you can. Amy S. in Tempe is also incredible. Even though I’ve only been seeing her for a short time, she’s already shown how much she cares about her patients. She’s supportive, kind, and truly invested in helping. As for billing—which seems to be a common concern in the reviews—I’ve only encountered one or two minor issues, and both were resolved quickly once I reached out. I’ve always paid through the patient portal, not at the front desk, and that process has worked smoothly for me. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with SMHWI and highly recommend them based on the care I’ve received.
