Dallas Neurocare Therapy: The Costello Clinic — Ketamine Clinic in Highland Village, TX

I don't know what clinic these people went to. I have had nothing but 100% positive experiences. Yes we tackle tough issues and I get frustrated at my self. The staff has been literally my saving grace at times. Just go once and you will know how great they are.

During my intake appointment, I was sick and seeking care. I disclosed to Dr. Costello that I had been raped as a child. Instead of providing support, Dr. Costello minimized my experience, questioned my credibility, and stated that I could not possibly know I had been raped because a nine-year-old boy “couldn’t get erect.” I was traumatized and molested by this neighbor boy over and over when I was six, each time fighting him off, saying, "no," hiding from him when I knew he was home, not able to freely play.... But how could I possibly know if I was raped?? This conduct was deeply traumatizing, invalidating, and abusive. I was forced to recount an incredibly traumatic experience while sick and seeking help, and Dr. Costello’s words shamed me, directly contradicted my reality, and retraumatized me. This is an egregious failure of professional ethics and understanding of trauma. In addition to the psychiatrist’s behavior, the office staff further compounded the harm through repeated unprofessional actions: 1. Charging my card $150 without my consent, which is illegal. 2. Mismanaging appointment scheduling, including telling me I had no appointment when one had been properly scheduled. I had to demand a phone call from the NP to clarify (which took several days to receive), and I was not able to be rescheduled for another two weeks. Staff were rude and dismissive, ridiculing me for scheduling issues that were caused by their failures. Threatening to cancel my upcoming appointment unless payment was made immediately, despite my insurance coverage and no prior notice of a change in billing policy. Refusing to allow me to see Dr. Costello again when I sought proper care. This combination of abusive, dismissive, and incompetent behavior caused severe emotional distress, retraumatization, and a breakdown of trust in mental health care. Louis Costello’s actions and the office’s mismanagement are completely unacceptable. If you expect your mental health to be a priority, Im not sure your expectations will be met. Just a guess... What would I know, though? I'm just a little 38 year old girl who has no idea when she has or hasn't been raped....

Please save time and go somewhere else. After my partner going here and being blown off he was properly diagnosed 2 weeks later at another facility and is finally getting the help he needs. This Dr was so incredibly rude and wasted our time.

it’s rare to have a positive experience within the mental health field and this place definitely is not helpful. dr costello put words in my mouth about how i felt while talking over me. i think i learned more about him than he did me. he gave me multiple diagnoses but never even spoke to me about them. when i went to pick up my regular prescription i found that dr costello has prescribed me multiple new medications without even telling me. when i called the front desk about this the woman told me “well that’s illegal, he didn’t do that” and i told her well he did “he would have never done that without speaking to you” well he did “thats not allowed and he didn’t do it”. seemed like she was trying to gaslight me into saying that he did talk to me about the prescriptions?? i would have never accepted these pills because one was for aid in quitting smoking, which i was not ready for. dr costello tried to make me feel like all of my faults were on smoking weed and shoving that fact down my throat. this place is stuffy and cold. it’s pretty obvious that they try to upsell here and they definitely get paid to give out some of these meds. the only reason i came here was because they offered gene testing, i waited months to hear back about it. turns out it was just buried somewhere without them knowing it was even ready. i had to call over and over for them to finally do their job and investigate. the hardest thing about having a chronic mental disorder is finding the right support system within doctors. these doctors don’t care.

First of all the staff is completely professional and welcoming. I started looking forward to my sessions and was sad when they were over. Everybody is very supportive. This made a large difference in my life. I would highly recommend this clinic to everybody.

I truly don't know where I'd be without the help of Dallas Neurocare Therapy. Their awesome staff greeted me every day with smiles and open arms, making me feel comfortable and even excited for my therapy. I loved working with them!

Can't recommend Costello Clinic enough! The entire team works together to get you back to your best self. They are caring, empathetic, and more than anything, get results.

I have been going to this practice for years. The help I have received is invaluable. The practitioners and staff are wonderful and truly want what’s best for the patient!

My family and I recently relocated from NTX to ATX. Upon arriving, I began the process of setting my wife, two kids, and myself up with a new PCP. Due to my medication, I have to visit the doc quarterly. Got with Costello Clinic to share my records with our original choice of PCP - encountered no issues, signed the necessary paperwork for each, and received confirmation from BOTH sides that we were all set. Based on a familial recommendation, ended up moving forward with another PCP. I signed the release for the new PSP and had them share it with The Costello Clinic. Had them send it via fax, via email, had them call, leave voicemails, etc... led to nothing. No calls returned, no voicemails/emails addressed. Got tired of the unnecessary calls from the doc so called them myself today. I was told that the records they sent(and confirmed sending) three months ago no longer existed.. and wouldn't have existed three months ago. Crazy to see a healthcare provider being so brazen with their patient's records. How can you have them enough to send them, and then randomly, out of the blue claim they not only don't exist but didn't exist when they sent them three months prior? Still dealing with this, without a single ounce of help from The Costello Clinic - go figure. Steer clear folks!

We had the first appointment with this place yesterday and it will definitely be the last. I have never felt more unheard, dismissed, and brushed off by a psychiatric clinic. There were apparent issues with my online patient forms that I spent an hour or so on; I was told they never received them so I had to redo all of them on paper. The front desk staff were fine and friendly, but the issue is with Dr Costello. We felt very uncomfortable and talked over, we were not listened to, and felt very misunderstood and as if our concerns were just glazed over and brushed aside, the most pressing issue is that I/we have is complex ptsd and dissociative identity disorder (that have both been diagnosed in the past, twice), and it felt he just ignored anything that was said once DID was brought up and then he just started telling me about the DSM-5 2013 not having DID in it but I don’t see how that was relevant because the 2023 version does include DID and the therapists who have evaluated me both said I have dissociative identity disorder. They have met my alters when I am not aware of it or my alters come out and speak. We all felt he completely ignored our experience and that he disregarded our identities completely. This disorder is something we have to live with every single day and I lose chunks of time and memory and my family and friends have to tell me what has happened when I’m not aware. It's not something that more medicine will cure. We don't need more medicine, we need understanding and compassion and to be heard. It's not uncommon for psychiatrists to do this to us. Anytime we bring up that we are multiple it is brushed off or ignored, or we are made to feel invalid or that our experiences are wrong or unreal. Many of us were extremely upset by this and it just furthers our distrust with psychiatrists… Most of the conversation felt as if we were just listening to him talk at us versus being able to share or engage. There was so much more we wanted to say and he would just fly through topics and we weren't given much time to discuss them or respond or if we did it was then cut off by him changing subjects. Being talked over and talked at was highly inappropriate and we felt very disrespected by this. We have never had good experiences with psychiatrists, but this experience was awful and we will never be back.
