Ballen Medical and Wellness has truly impacted my life for the better. I have been working with Taylor for several years now, and his ability to create a non-judgmental and healing space is unmatched! He is able to gently challenge my thought processes while also validating my experiences. I will be forever grateful for the care I've received through Ballen Medical.

I've been seeing Taylor for over a year now, and it's honestly changed my life. I tried several therapists before finding Taylor, and the difference has been night and day. Taylor has helped me work through some deep stuff around my identity and what healthy masculinity actually looks like. I've grown so much in my confidence and in how I show up in relationships. My relationship with my girlfriend is stronger because I've learned to communicate better and be more emotionally present. I've even improved things with my parents, setting boundaries while still maintaining love and respect. The anxiety and self-doubt I used to struggle with daily are so much more manageable now. Taylor gave me real tools that work, not just generic advice. I also get my ADHD medication managed here, and they've been super responsive with prescription refills and call-ins. If you're a guy struggling with confidence, relationships, or just feeling lost about who you are, I can't recommend Taylor and Ballen Medical enough. This place genuinely cares and delivers results. 10/10... best decision I've made for my mental health.

I had an adverse reaction to a medication they prescribed me. I called and talked to Nicole at the front desk. She said she would relay an urgent message to Dr Beth Ballen and have her call me that day. Dr Ballen never called. I called several more times the following day. No response. I sent an email. I had my therapist who referred me call. She sent an email. We still can not get a response from anyone. I went to the office to try to speak to them directly and one of the employees stepped towards me like he was going to get physical with me simply for asking for help. This is now 24 hours after I first called them. This is the most unprofessional medical office I’ve ever worked with. When I went for my original consultation, Dr Beth Ballen was over an hour late. And while talking with her it was clear she was under the influence of something. And they just charged my credit card $150 without ever mentioning that there would be a fee. This office should be investigated. I’m reporting them to the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) the division of Professions and Occupations (DPO).

Ballen Medical is simply fantastic. From the moment you walk in the door, you are enveloped in a safe & caring environment. Dr. Ballen is professional, knowledgeable, & goes out of her way to give her patients the best targeted therapy that they need. The nurses work hard to ensure that each patient receives the optimal level of care & support. 5 stars, hands-down!

Ballen medical has been a HUGE source of help and support for me over the past few years. I started seeing about two or three years ago and he is by far the best therapist I’ve had after living in multiple states and trying countless types of treatments with countless different people. Along with the therapists being highly qualified and supportive, the front desk ladies as well as the RN’s (I think) who actually perform the infusion and monitor you are so kinda and accommodating to all; even let me bring my emotional support dog when she was a puppy in training still and would get my boyfriend at the time snacks while I was under as well as even holding my hair once while I was getting sick at their facility. 10/10 cannot recommend enough, I ADORE everyone at this establishment and cannot give enough thanks for the help in my personal growth journey, I likely wouldn’t be here without them.

Update 12/122025- I wrote Dr Ballen a letter asking why I was placed on a M1 when she herself was not in the office and I was already under the influence of Ketamine (chemical restraint). the following is the email I sent asking for explataion. I recieved no response. - "Dear Dr. Ballen, I am writing to formally express my serious concerns regarding the M1 hold you initiated for me on September 22, 2025. In my view, the hold was unnecessary, unwarranted, and handled improperly. My concerns are based on the following specific facts: * I came to your clinic seeking help and expressed concerns that the infusions might intensify my existing depression. * I never made any attempts nor claimed any intent to harm myself or others. I commented that "if the ketamine infusion intensified the feels I would probably make me feel like walking out into traffic." * Your staff proceeded to tell me that ketamine was the only way and convinced me to take the infusion before ever having a consultation with a qualified person. * My medical record from your office states: "this RN assessed SI and felt like his comments were real. Beth was attempted to get in touch with and did not answer right away. RN felt as though to stall him until seeing a provider that we would start his infusion to see if it helped calm him down until Beth was able to be reached. Beth did call back after pt had been in his infusion for about 5 min. Once RN explained to Beth the comments pt was making and his whole affect Beth told RN to stop his infusion start fluids and call 911." Given that ketamine is used for sedation and anesthesia, and has even been controversially used as a "chemical restraint," I question why I was placed on an M1 hold after being subdued. I expressed frustration about the situation, and your decision to initiate an M1 hold followed, despite me showing no intent or capability of harming myself or others. During the hold, I was not properly advised of my rights, I was never given the opportunity to contact a lawyer, and my request to contact a patient advocate was denied. I was held against my will and believe I was subjected to false imprisonment. I believe this incident constitutes a significant breach of the standard of care and caused me unnecessary trauma, hardship, and emotional distress. I request a formal response detailing your justification for the hold based on the legal criteria in place at the time. I also ask for a copy of all documentation related to my evaluation and the hold itself. I expect a response within 30 days of the date of this letter. If I do not receive a satisfactory reply, I intend to take this matter to law enforcement, the Colorado Medical Board, DORA, and a legal representative." Update finished 12/13/2025 UPDATE: Proceed with caution as I was wrongly placed on an M1 medical hold for being vulnerable. I never presented an imminent threat to myself or others, yet the staff deemed it necessary to strip me of my freedom and dignity. This unexpected turn of events requires a reassessment of the situation and a heightened level of awareness moving forward. As of today it has been over a full week, no one from Ballen Medical and Wellness has reached out to me to inquire about my detention from their office to the hospital at their request. Old as of 10/01/2025 - (All employees spoken about in this part have moved on to different practices) My experience at Ballen Medical & Wellness has been transformative. The staff feels like an extended family, providing exceptional care and unwavering support. I'm particularly grateful to Dr. Leslie, whose expertise and guidance helped me regulate and even reduce my medications, offering a renewed sense of hope. Ketamine infusions have been a game-changer, and I'm not sure where I'd be without them. Quinn, the ketamine infusion nurse, stands out for her extraordinary compassion and dedication. Her care is truly exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ballen Medical & Wellness to anyone seeking a supportive and effective path to healing.

Frustrating. I scheduled a phone consult, confirmed the email reminder and all that- the day they're supposed to call, they don't - I'm waiting, looking at the time and realize they're not going to, so I call them instead. The receptionist apologizes and I start describing my experiences/symptoms - she then overshares and tells me she has a friend with what I'm describing, and how not taking meds is the problem for so many people with that disorder etc. - very inappropriate. I really needed help so I put my feelings to the side, scheduled an intake, and paid the $500 to speak with a professional. Dr. Ballen was great. I'm sure she is an excellent psychiatrist. It was an intake meeting so I talked the whole time, and we ran out, so she kindly told me she would follow-up with me the next day and we could finish up our intake and help get me supported. Unfortunately, she never called. I messaged them, no answer. I am sad and frustrated. This took a lot out of me, both financially and mentally (re-explaining the trauma to a stranger), and I don't like that it's now on me, as the potential client, to follow up with the organization and get the support they told me they could give me. It made me give up on getting help here.
