Red Oak Counseling of Wisconsin — Ketamine Clinic in Milwaukee, WI

I'm deeply grateful to this team of providers, each of whom I've worked with in some way for medication management and Ketamine therapy. Kate, NP, is supportive and has a clear (and often hilarious) way of explaining treatment options. Amy, NP is professional, attentive and always follows up quickly with refills/concerns. Linnea, RN is kindhearted and one of the best nurses I've met. I've felt better under their care than I have in many years. As a former psychiatric nurse, I know how hard it is to find a team this skilled.

My husband was a patient with Amy Dice for a few years now, and over that time period has had increasingly negative experiences with Amy. Amy would frequently prescribe new medication and not tell my husband about the possible side effects, leading to them not knowing what to expect or how to cope with those side effects when they occurred. She was also extremely unresponsive. Even through times when my husband was in the middle of a mental health crisis or out of medication, it would take several days and messages before getting a response from Amy, even in dire situations. Even then she would sometimes not reply at all. She also missed several appointments without notice, and would not refill medications on time or respond to messages about needing refills, leading to my husband being inconsistently on and off medication that they really needed through out the course of the time that they saw Amy. When my husband decided it was time to leave, it took a very long time for Amy to send records to their new provider, and even then their new provider described the records from Amy as sparse and confusing. After seeing said new provider, my husband explained that the new provider was confused as to why my husbands treatment plan was the way it was, as many of the medications Amy prescribed made no sense, did not work, or were dosed incorrectly. Amy also did not pay attention to negative side effects that my husband reported and would repeatedly prescribe similar medications with similar side effects, despite prior knowledge of my husband negative reactions. In the time my husband had seen Amy, she has been distant, ignorant of my husbands needs, and negligent when a lot was on the line. After such an experience, we would not recommend that anyone see Amy for medication Managment, as the mismanagement of my husband’s case was extreme to the point of causing potential, and in some cases actual harm. Would rate a 0 if possible. 1/5 stars

I was seen by Amy Dice Through the Milwaukee clinic for a year and stopped and came back. I came back because I felt Amy was helping me so i came Back and saw her once and she prescribed two anxiety meds and didn’t prescribe what I was really there. For sleep but she Wouldn’t listen to My concerns or what I really needed at the time. She. Dropped me out of no where and when asked I said nobody would answer my calls after three days of no response. I would have absolutely recommend Amy but now after today. I wouldn’t recommend to someone I don’t like to see her. Worst regret seeing her again

Dr. Kate is awesome, I had seen other psychiatrists and the experience doesnt compare. Everyone else I have worked with has been incredibly helpful and understanding as well.

I’m writing a review after being a patient for over a year. Kate Meine was my original provider and was great, but eventually my appointments were cancelled and I was told I would be scheduled with a different provider. Don’t get me wrong, this was frustrating. However, while waiting to be seen by the new provider, I pursued a provider at a different practice and had an awful experience (this experience was NOT associated with Red Oak). Thank goodness for Latoya quickly helping me get scheduled with Amy at Red Oak. I just had my first appointment with Amy, and she was thorough, compassionate, and helpful. There are some administrative challenges going on at this practice that I don’t totally understand, but my interactions with the actual people at Red Oak have only ever been positive.

I used to see Dr Kelly and she was wonderful and an excellent provider, but she ended up leaving. Ever since her departure, Tulaya and their new management has been completely unresponsive. I have called numerous times, left voicemails, emails, you name it. I am running low on my medication and I'm unable to receive refills due to their nonexistent communication with existing patients. Very disappointed with what this organization has become and will be looking elsewhere for treatment.

Awful experience. Terrible communication, a waste of my time. Don't even bother with trying to talk to someone.

I have been seeing Dr. Meine for probably over a year I think at this point. I've tried getting help so many times prior, never felt truly listened to. Dr. Meine actually listens and I'm finally on a plan of care that actually helps with my mental health and well being. I'm so glad to have found this clinic.

I've been seeing my NP Kate Meine for over a year now- she is the best psych provider I've had the opportunity to work with. She is very thorough and has always taken her time during visits- I've never felt rushed or not heard. She is really easy to talk to, which, especially as someone who's neurodivergent- that might be one of the biggest hurdles for me finding a psych provider. The part where she tells me about which neurotransmitters we're trying to hit and why is just a cherry on top for my inner nerd. :-D I actively recommend her to everyone I know. I've never had any issues communicating with the office, or getting my scripts filled.

I was a patient and received medication prescriptions for nearly a year. When I did have check-in appointments my doctor was always late and disorganized, however I felt the medication recommended really worked for me so I was happy with that. A few weeks ago, out of no where, I received a letter saying that I could no longer be treated by Tulaya and my relationship with my therapist was over immediately - without any reasoning, warning, or explanation as to what changed. So I'm now on the hunt for someone new, and very much feel it could have been handled differently.
