I did not personally receive treatment here, but a close family member did. We chose Forward Ketamine based on strong reviews, pricing, and ease of scheduling, hoping for meaningful change during a very difficult time. My family member was not hopeful this treatment would work, and unfortunately that proved to be true. While there may have been minimal benefit, the overall experience was disappointing. The treatment involved being placed alone in a room with headphones while receiving IV ketamine, with no therapeutic support during or after the session. This approach may work for mild to moderate depression or anxiety, but in our experience it was not sufficient for more severe or complex mental health needs. In the end, we left feeling deeply disappointed and taken advantage of during a vulnerable time. I would encourage others in similar situations to carefully consider whether this level of care is right for them.

I was new to ketamine treatment, and a little nervous. Yet I knew I had to find a different way to treat anxiety, depression, and PTSD. From my first call to Forward Ketamine, to the consultation, to the infusions, to the aftercare, the experience has been amazing. They answered all my questions,ade sure I knew what to expect. They discussed my treatment and results with me before and after each infusion, and remembered the details the next time I went in. It feels that we're partners in my treatment. I was told up front that may not begin to notice improvements until after the first 3 to 5 sessions, so I wasn't disappointed when there wasn't a major shift immediately. That said, I noticed small improvements after infusion #3, and by #5 and 6 I had more energy, focus, and a lighter mood. I've worked with a therapist who is supportive of using ketamine as a tool in therapy, and it has helped immensely. Scheduling with Forward Ketamine has been easy, with many options available so I can work it into my life. They have a beautiful lounge, where I've spent time after infusions relaxing, reflecting, and reading until I feel ready to go. The staff at this clinic are knowledgeable, kind, and caring. I am more than happy with the care and education my daughter received at Forward Ketamine. I wasn’t overly educated on this type of treatment until my daughter expressed wanting to try it and wanting me there with her, and the staff made us feel very welcomed and comfortable, answering all of our questions and concerns. We mainly worked with Matt and Corey due to our scheduling. They accommodated us wonderfully and made my daughter feel very comfortable before, during, and after treatments. We are very grateful for finding this place and very happy with the outcome of her treatments. We have been recommending this place to others who have been struggling.

Making the choice to go with Forward Ketamine has truly given us our lives back! After years of failed medications and treatments, we were desperate to find something that works. While a lot of people don’t respond until after a few treatments, my husband saw results after the very first one. He’s now done with his initial set of treatments and we’re absolutely blown away by the results. He was struggling daily before, now he’s going most of the week with little to no issues! Forward Ketamine has provided breathtakingly positive and profoundly life-changing treatment. After 30+ years of extensive therapeutic work - talk therapy, trauma therapy, multiple medications, EMDR, brain spotting, and countless other interventions - ketamine therapy accomplished what decades of other treatments has not for treatment resistant depression and PTSD (with a little anxiety on the side just to keep it interesting, you know?). The speed and lasting nature of these changes has been extraordinary. I had thought I was functioning reasonably well, like 4/10, but I now realize I was actually living at maybe a 1.5. My baseline was so devastatingly low that what I considered "functional" was actually incredibly difficult daily survival. One of the biggest problems is that life was so incredibly hard, but I wasn't even capable of realizing how bad it was because I had never experienced anything better. I’m a retired nurse, single, fixed income with years of Major Depression who wasn’t responding to antidepressants very well and gave up trying new ones. I had been reading about ketamine for quite some time and decided to try it. My doctors were all for it so my search began. Ketamine treatments can be very expensive, people, so I searched Madison for the least expensive. My search brought me to Forward Ketamine in Madison, WI on King St. - not a very impressive building but what I found inside was a team of four incredible people. Matt, Corey, Brian and Lisa. These people are exceedingly knowledgeable, experienced, honest, caring, and hospitable to the max. As you know, these are scarce commodities in this day and age, folks! Matt once said to me that his goal is to make every patient’s ketamine experience the most perfect and comfortable medical experience they’ve ever had. I began my induction series in February of 2025. Okay, I felt better and was pretty happy. Then, in a couple of months my depression creeped up on me again so I went in for a booster infusion. Felt good. I have found that my treatments last me 1 to 2 months. Some people never have to come back after their induction series, some do. Forward Ketamine is there as you need them. Matt and Brian are awesome - super knowledgeable and experienced in the field which made my sessions w/ them all the better. would highly recommend this place if you've been struggling w/ pain (both physical or emotional) and haven't been able to find anything that helps. they're super affordable compared to other facilities/locations yet still provide a safe and clean environment. was visiting from out of town but will def be going back to them when in the area!
