I’m generally hesitant to write negative reviews, especially when it comes to small businesses. But in this case, I think it’s important to share my experience. I scheduled what I expected to be a therapy appointment because the provider’s website listed therapy as a service. I checked in using their website and specifically chose psychotherapy (as shown in the photo below). I assumed that would be part of my care. Instead, the session turned out to be a brief 30-minute new patient evaluation that felt more like a medication consultation. I felt like I couldn’t really get a word in. My concerns weren’t explored in depth, and the conversation felt rushed and one-sided. The appointment was at 9 AM, and I got the impression they were in a rush. There was also someone shadowing him during the session. Normally that wouldn’t be an issue, but she made a few facial expressions while I was speaking that made me feel unsure about continuing to open up. It added to the overall sense of discomfort and lack of connection. I also brought up serious concerns about possibly having bipolar disorder, including symptoms consistent with it. Despite that, I was prescribed Zoloft, a medication known to potentially trigger manic episodes in people with bipolar. That decision immediately concerned me. At one point, while I was opening up about deeply personal issues, I was asked why I was being emotional by the nurse practitioner, possibly trying to lighten the mood. I understand that emotions are part of clinical assessment, but the way the question was asked felt tone-deaf and dismissive in the context of a mental health session. The appointment ended with him telling me to get back in touch after taking the medication. I left feeling unheard, invalidated, and unsupported. I came in hoping for a more thoughtful, therapeutic approach, especially given how the service was presented online, but that wasn't what I experienced. It’s possible it was just an off day, and I understand they had just opened for the morning. But even so, I don’t believe what occurred was right... Especially when I came in already in an emotionally fragile state and looking for genuine support. I honestly wish I had spent the $275 elsewhere instead of on a rushed 30-minute session that left me feeling worse than when I walked in. EDIT 2/7/26: Just got formally diagnosed by another psychiatric facility. Feeling way better! This experience turned me off from getting help for a long time. Please be aware.
1. They said if I see a neurologist and they clear me for not having a disorder they could prescribe the medication (that I've been on for 10 years with no issues). Did what they asked and they still wouldn't prescribe it. 2. They've sent me three bills even though I've paid everything and have proof of doing so. So not only did I get nowhere with them and they caused more stress and anxiety , they're trying to rip me off.
Excelente lo mejor es que te escuchan y tienen empatía Gracias Karina
Nelson really listens to what I have to say and how I feel. He helps me with my medication, also. I highly recommend him to anyone for their mental health needs!
If you’re on a journey to heal, this is, hands down, one of the best places to come. You’re treated as a human and not a copay. You truly feel the compassion and kindness both from patient to provider and even among staffers alone. Dr. Sanchez has cultivated an honest and compassionate place for healing with true, current ,science based treatment modalities. My life is enriched with stability and calmness thanks to this office. A special Thank You to Citra and Julie for their kindness, laughter and understanding as well as the front desk ladies- always answer and always kind. In these times you just can’t beat that.
Dr Sanchez is so kind and caring. I feel safe talking to her about anything. She lets me be a partner in my care. Highly recommend.
