Middletown Medical — Ketamine Clinic in Middletown, NY

I've had mixed experiences certain Dr's don't care at all and offer the most basic care available. Today I was offered a shot for a cyst that would make me depressed and manic but it would treat the cyst I'd be in a Psych ward with glowing skin brilliant 👏 or just get surgery again definitely dispointed the Dr couldn't even explain the benefits of the shot and didn't know if there was other side effects but was very adamant about offered it

I was treated for severe depression here with Spravato, a medication that must be administered intranasally, in office, for monitoring. However, they also offered a less than therapeutic setting in which to administer the medication; it was a stark contrast from my experience with Spravato in the past at a practice down south, who went out of their way to not over monitor, and provide a truly comfortable, both physically and emotionally, setting. It seems they don’t understand that set and setting affect efficacy of the medication, not just the medication in and of itself. I wouldn’t recommend Middletown Medical, especially if you’re dealing with severe disease, such that you really need to be supported, as that support was not offered to me. It's a shame, considering the pressing need for compassionate mental health care in our country.

The wait time here is absolutely unacceptable. I checked in at 10 AM and, THREE hours later, I’m still sitting in the waiting area waiting to be seen by the ophthalmologist. It feels like they consistently overbook appointments while having too few doctors available. Every single visit involves an insanely long wait, and today is no different. Other patients in the waiting room are saying the same thing, so this clearly isn’t an isolated issue.

The cardiologist that I saw ordered multiple diagnostic tests. I called the billing office and left a message asking for estimates. A few days later I received a call back and was told to ask my insurance for an estimate. I answered that my insurance company doesn’t know what tests the doctor ordered and neither do I. The person refused to give me an estimate or CPT codes so I could try to figure out the cost on my own. The Middletown Medical Patient Bill Of Rights, the federal No Surprise Medical Bill law, and the New York State No Surprise Medical Bill law all require providers to give cost estimates. For one of the tests I was told that it was cash only and to bring $85 to my appointment. I checked with my insurance and found out that the test is billable and payable, but requires prior authorization. I requested this several times and was told no, bring cash. Bypassing insurance and forcing patients to pay in cash instead violates Middletown Medicals in network contract with my insurance company. I will be reporting this. Lastly all of my confirmation emails and texts give the address for my appointments but no suite number. Each building has multiple entrances and floors so a suite number should obviously be included.

Office called me the day of my appointment to cancel because Dr Hoffman does not accept any Blue Cross Blue Shield Commercial plans (despite their website saying they accept and my insurance provider finder listing them). They acknowledged that confusion because they said their office is indeed contracted with BCBS but Dr. Hoffman personally won’t see any patients with that insurance type. In the end, a waste of time as they could have said when the appointment was made rather than canceling the day of

This review is specially for Dr sertas office ophthalmology, this is the 3rd time my partner was failed to be contacted about the her not being there for a appointment stating they called 2 times and no messages from this office was on the phone, do not recommend, we are getting our records out of that office.

My dr didn't show up until 30 minutes after my appointment started and I wasn't her first patient. Additionally, I thought this was supposed to be fasted bloodwork, so it is now 3:20 PM and I haven't eaten, haven't seen the doctor and I have no idea what this appointment is going to be for since there is nothing to review.

Called and scheduled a neurology appointment. Dispatcher told me they weren't able to send a confirmation email, but they'd text me a reminder the morning of. I got no text and when I showed up for my appointment, they told me they had no record of me and weren't able to fit me in.

Bloodwork done at this building. The guy who does the blood work is so great. I would never consider going anywhere else! 💕
