Jamestown Psychiatric, P.C. — Ketamine Clinic in Jamestown, NY

I’m not sure what kind of scams are being operated in this facility, but be warned. I live across the country and have never even heard of this office before (much less been to New York). Until the other day when I received a statement in the mail saying I owe $75 for a No Show fee from a Kristine Bailey. Never have I been in communication with this office nor have I attempted to make an appointment here. How they got my name and address, I have absolutely no clue and is honestly very concerning. Upon receiving this statement, I tried contacting the email they listed, just to receive an automated response saying I don’t have permission to send them messages (probably because I’m not a patient of theirs). If any sort of management sees this review, I urge you to PLEASE remove my information from your system and resolve this issue.

just went there for my visit, note i’m 17 my mother makes my appointments, the first appointment goes well, we schedule next appointment the lady at the desk offers the day June 29. Me and my mother agreed we could not do this day because it’s the day before my birthday and we had plans made weeks before. We tell the lady at the desk we schedule for a day in july (today) i go into my appointment and right when i sit down he begins to bash me saying how i missed my appointment, wasted his time, he was going to charge me. I was stunned i almost cried right there. I proceeded to tell him we did not schedule that day and he continued to fight me till he met with my mother and she was on my side. and asking me about weight loss surgery? that’s very inappropriate of a 70 year old man to talk to a 17 year old kid about. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEY CANT EVEN SCHEDULE RIGHT AND BLAME YOUR KIDS!!!! if you can’t schedule right find a new job, your pathetic edit: wow not just me who had a bad time here, yall need to shut down for your own good before someone else does it for you

Helpful, but unprofessional.

I just had my first appointment. Although there were problems with the video connection today, the provider, Kristine Bailey, was fantastic. I have so much hope now that my meds can be vastly improved, and I'm excited to hear of new types of testing to more accurately predict their success. Thank you, Kristine!!

Just WOW, I have NEVER in my life dealt with the caliber of rudeness that I did with their receptionist! I called and asked to talk to someone about an insurance concern! I was told to call my Insurance company. I tried to explain that No, I was calling them because my insurance company told me to call and talk to the financial/insurance person. I was then told I can do that for you (rudely said). Then I was basically told Nope We Can’t Help You! Funny that, the 3rd time I called,! After ONCE again calling my insurance company. I said I want finance and She once again said “I can do that” I very firmly said NO! Interesting enough, when she finally allowed me to talk to the person in finance/insurance. My issue was resolved! People Like That receptionist, should NEVER EVER be allowed to work in the Mental Health field, even as a receptionist! I have NEVER been TREATED with such little regard and made to feel as if I was wasting HER time. Just WOW, I really hope ALL of your patients aren’t treated that way!

They have an AWESOME CARING STAFF THAT ESP IN EMERGANCIES GETS YOU IN ASAP!!!!! They are AMAZING!!!! I've tried other places...NO PLACE is ANYTHING like this one!!! The staff is the MOST caring you will EVER find!!! If you're lucky enough to get in here...DON'T EVER LEAVE!!!!! You'll regret it QUICKLY!!!!!!

Besides the office staff, I don’t believe anyone working here is qualified to treat psychological issues in any way save meeting the legal requirements. Both providers I saw (both psychology and psychiatric) were very stuck in their interpretation of my personal situation and refused to budge off that view. Second, I was explicitly criticized for considering other conditions/treatments during my time their despite my treatment not being totally effective in taking care of my mental health concerns, as well as talked down to in general. They really just want you to play dumb and treat their opinions as gospel. Highly recommend staying away, and if you can access care from an area with more competition (within Western NY this would be Orchard Park/ Buffalo, or besides that Erie PA) that would most likely help a patient much more than they are capable of here.

My loved one has been trying to fill out her intake packet for a year and a half but can’t bring herself to do it because of the nature of mental illness. I’m sure once she gets in her experience will be great, but it seems very counterproductive to insist that people who struggle with mental health fill out paperwork before being able to schedule an appointment. I understand HIPAA, but shouldn’t these questions be asked during intake, instead of expecting a person who can barely open their mail to fill out a packet so they can get help?
