so good !!
I have been a client for years, I used to see Julie Dagenhart. Im older and don't care for virtual sessions, it feels very uncomfortable for me. At the end of the day, this is a paycheck for the staff. I made the VERY big mistake of opening up after over 3yrs of starting 2 times a week, to once in talk therapy. I had started due to childhood trauma and grief, the sudden loss of loved ones. I was spiraling into depression with debilitating anxiety. Previously diagnosed as Bipolar (CRAZY mood swings). Now after barely getting thru my Father's passing, I was hit with THE WORST! My husband became ill suddenly, YES! the diagnosis we all dread... I came to my session in tears, I barely whispered the words! The convo shifted and after building years of trust, telling this person my deepest pain, and the traumatic childhood, divulgeing information I haven't ever said out loud EVER! I was told she couldn't see me anymore, due to personal reasons... I REALLY TRIED to be empathetic, but they just tried to shuffle me off to a STRANGER! Just hand over MY FILE, ALL MY SECRETS to someone to read. Thank the Universe the amazing surgeon removed my husband's whole lung, and the mass obstructing his airway! He was in INOVA in Fairfax VA for a month over 3 hrs from our home in Frederick MD. The Medication request line, What Dr's office doesn't accept refill requests from your pharmacy?!?! No EMERGENCY LINE for weekends. I take a variety of meds, most you are NOT supposed to just stop. During my month of HELL, I called left my request but was worried I was almost completely out of my anxiety meds. They wrote NOT to fill it till Saturday?! Legit left me without meds!! I can't IMAGINE HOW MUCH $$ they have made off me!! We are how they pay their bills do not get confused and hurt, like I did! Super Unprofessional!
The staff has been excellent and very supportive during my therapy. If anyone has the opportunity to qualify for spravato therapy then I highly recommend this office.
High turnover at this practice and I was dumped by the nurse practitioner without any notice onto the new (at the time) nurse practitioner. Just when you would get settled with a medical professional they would leave or dump you onto the next. They also bullied me while I was in the hospital with my newborn and requesting my medications. I'm so traumatized by my experience here that I've not been to a psychiatrist or therapist since leaving this practice. Do yourself a favor and seek care elsewhere.
Terrible bordering on abysmal communication from office staff to patients. I actually canceled my therapist because I can't have two therapists and I canceled mine because the scheduling person was adamant that the therapist through this place was specific for ADHD. Well after having my conversation with the therapist who emphatically informed me that is not the case coupled with her looking aghast when she asked me some of the onboarding screening questions but I'm not talking like have you ever beaten your dog talking like normal things that normal people have it was very clear this was not going to be a good fit for me so I politely fired the therapist. I then went to their medication management side as my Adderall had basically stopped working since my last concussion was put on Vyvanse and was made to wait 30 days to fill it Because I had a prior non-vyvanse prescription filled. I asked the secretary or whomever made the phone call when for me that's why the delay was to call me back about whether or not that was a law or a policy and surprise surprise never got any phone calls back. I went to CVS for something I don't know what I can't remember go figure and ask them if that was a rule or a law and CVS looked at me like I had three heads and was like no it's a different prescription for a different drug you're changing medications No you just fill that start taking it. I also referred a friend there before I had all these terrible experiences who is now dealing with her own bad experience because she can't get them on the phone to refill her prescriptions So five stars for diagnosing adult ADHD; zero stars for everything else. Currently struggling with whether or not I have the motivation to call and report my experiences with them to the state as a medical professional who feels that this was grossly inappropriate.
I have been a patient at this office for many years and am now with my third clinician. Each one has provided exceptional care. Transitions between providers can often feel discouraging, but each time, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and well-supported I’ve felt. The clinicians are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly approachable—it often feels like you’re speaking with a trusted friend who happens to be a medical expert. The entire staff has been great. From the front desk to the medication team, everyone is friendly, professional, and responsive. I’ve had several interactions with Asia from the medication department, and she has consistently been helpful, patient, and timely. I truly appreciate the level of care and support this office provides.
This place has low reviews for a reason there has been a high turnover which effected my personal plan of care from my first two providers leaving to switching to two new ones without much notice. While all 4 individual providers I worked with were very nice and helpful. But whatever goes on behind the scenes and causes so much turnover this last time someone left I was told I would only be able to have appointments at almost double the length apart as I used too and this effected my decisions majorly as i had a lot going on and the new time frame just wasn’t gonna work for me this seems like every work place now a days less employees more work for them which results in patients decline in care as I felt I would not be able to get the help I would really need going forward with my provider being forced to take up a lot of clients from someone else who quit the practice.
Billing department reissued a charge to my account from a year prior, after already incorrectly charging me due to a failure on their end to check insurance and offering a "refund credit". Billing department remains "inaccessible to the public" as any calls go straight to voicemail and they do not return calls. Disgraceful management.
I called weeks ago after seeing they excepted my insurance on their website. After speaking with my insurance, they informed me to talk to billing directly to verify. I called several times and could not get an answer. Fast forward to my appointment. Someone called me and verified a 10.00 co-pay. I started the virtual visit about 2min later, where the Dr informed me they scheduled me with the wrong dr but I had to finish my appointment anyway. It was 10.00 I was not really worried. Then I stressed to her how unhappy I was that I waited weeks to get that appointment with the wrong provider and I can not even reach their billing department. Renee dagenhart then said let me go talk to billing. Came back after about a 5min pause and said insurance should cover. If not it will be $231.00. So I got scheduled with the wrong dr and could not see the right dr yet had to pay 231? I asked to end the call several times. (A recorded call) she said I still had to pay. I have never dealt with a medical professional that was so rude and so out of touch with their patients that are supposed to be helping. Just deal with the wait for the good drs. Or else you will owe a couple.hundred dollars for a "sorry, I am the wrong dr call" that will cost you hundreds in the end.
