The therapist and doctor are very thorough and professional. Not only do they ask questions, they also pay attention and listen. They deal with you on a human level giving you a sense that they really care. I highly recommend Geode's services.

My experience at Geode has been very positive. First, it was easy to get an appointment and the wait for that appointment was very reasonable. I was offered both in person or video visit opportunities which personally, I am a huge fan of video visits as I'm a busy person! The nurse practitioner, Tracey has been amazing to work with. As a new patient we went over my current situation and medications and mapped out a wonderful plan that we were both pleased with. I felt heard and included in that plan every step of the way. I'm very pleased how easy they have been to work with as that was important to me. Caring and hassle free every step of the way!
I was seen by Dr. Babatunde Ogundipe, MD (Illinois License No. 036146080) via telehealth through Geode Health (formerly Rockford Psychiatric Medical). January 14, 2026 – Initial Appointment The appointment was scheduled for one hour and explicitly for medication adjustment. Dr. Ogundipe was late and the visit lasted approximately 15 minutes. At the time, I was prescribed Wellbutrin (bupropion hydrochloride) 300 mg once daily. No alternative medication was prescribed, and no dosage adjustment was made. Dr. Ogundipe instructed me to discontinue Wellbutrin abruptly (“cold turkey”) until the next appointment, without tapering instructions. Abrupt discontinuation of bupropion is clinically inappropriate and carries known risks. He stated he would prescribe a stimulant in the future, despite my express objection. February 4, 2026 – Follow-Up Appointment This visit was scheduled for 45 minutes and again for medication management. Dr. Ogundipe did not prescribe any medication, did not instruct me to resume Wellbutrin, and continued to press stimulant therapy without identifying a specific medication. I requested a non-stimulant alternative (guanfacine) due to adverse effects from Wellbutrin (tachycardia, jitteriness). This request was dismissed without meaningful discussion of risks, benefits, or alternatives. The session lasted approximately 3 minutes. A medical trainee was present. While consent was requested, the trainee was never identified by name and was not visible on screen, despite having visual access to me. I have documented diagnoses of ADHD, Combined Type (01/21/2025) and Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1 (01/27/2026). Termination of Care During the February 4, 2026 telehealth visit, I expressed dissatisfaction with the care provided and administrative failures. I ended the call at 11:49 a.m. CT. At 5:55 p.m. CT the same day, I received a discharge letter from Geode Health stating I was terminated for “physical or verbal abuse” under a zero-tolerance policy. This allegation is false. I possess a full recording of the encounter demonstrating no abusive conduct and documenting the absence of medication management. Alleged Violations 1. False and deceptive documentation in connection with patient care, in violation of 225 ILCS 65/70-5(22) (willfully making or filing false records or reports) 225 ILCS 65/70-5(27) (false, fraudulent, or deceptive statements in documents connected to practice) 2. Failure to meet statutory and professional duties, including 745 ILCS 70/6 (duty to inform patient of condition, prognosis, treatment options, and risks/benefits consistent with medical standards) 225 ILCS 60/22(A)(16) (patient abandonment through termination without adequate care, notice, or transition)
