Suncloud has been a life saver. The staff was and is always welcoming and caring. One of the things that has been the most helpful for me has been the aftercare, follow ups and continued connection I get with them. It has become part of my family now and its a lifestyle. One of the things I lost in my life was a sense of being part of my community and having that desire to isolate from people. I dont feel that way anymore because of Suncloud. Now I have friends and people I really trust. Which is huge to me with my trust issues. Suncloud taught me that I cannot do this alone and showed me that I wasnt alone. This is a lifelong journey and my life is better now because I chose to do something about it, and Suncloud gave me the tools I needed. The aftercare is something I look forward to now and I really appreciate all the friends I've made along the way. 🫶❤️

I went here almost two years ago and my experience still haunts me to this day. They had their mind made up about me before i got there. After being very active in my treatment and more involved than most, I had a UA flagged. The staff insisted i relapsed and after i told them i didn't, they basically didn't believe me but called the lab to confirm. I understand people lie about relapse but the lab literally stated it was such a small amount relapse really wasn’t possible, and it was more likely from dehydration and holdover getting excreted from fat cells very slowly. Not to mention every other test was normal. Unfortunately, the psychiatrist was so prideful and refused to listen to the staff at the lab. The rest of my time there was miserable. They showed me it didnt matter what i did because they had their minds made up. Their expertise was extremely out of date regarding certain issues they were supposed to treat. The real kicker and the reason i write this at all is because after a month of just going through the motions with no therapeutic value, just for a back to work letter which they strung me along for every week saying they would sign it, they refused on the grounds that i was testing positive for a medication that was prescribed BY THEM! They ultimately were pressured by my family of all people and signed a back to work note that I still “needed a different program but could go back to work” whatever that means, and that i couldn’t attend there anymore. They also didnt let me “graduate” the facility which is arguably the nicest part. Basically the staff just felt like bullies that i was paying to bully me. If i was in a situation where i actually had to rely on the staff here to be my advocates I would’ve been screwed. These people were deceitful and on a total power trip. They act like you have a choice but with them you dont. I hope its gotten better since I left, but this experience has bothered me for so long i felt the need to share.

Update: Notice the generic reply to each of these reviews. Suncloud and Dr. Kim D. are hiding behind legal minutiae. Faceless - Nameless - and Clueless. I suggest to you - Dr. Kim D., Kelli, and the rest of your team - that you come correct. Better to admit your mistake and address it personally than type in word salad speak. ! Beware ! Confirmation bias used in their recommendations after you share extremely personal and sensitive information. Zero stars if I could. Do not be fooled…their clinical team discriminated against me due to a policy not even listed on their website (as of this review) even though Kelli distinctly said it was a “fundamental policy” regarding choosing whom to admit. After Kelli emphatically declared it as Suncloud policy, I asked Kelli if it was on their website, (had it been I would have never reached out.) She said, “I don’t know!?!?!???!!” Kelli and the rest of the clinical team - get your facts straight and check yourselves regarding how a prospective client should be treated. Discriminating against one’s medical situation is deplorable and disgusting. Thank you for the extra trauma inflicted via your intake process. *****Don’t waste your time here and don’t let Naperville fool you.*****

Unprofessional power tripping staff, PHP is only 1 therapy session a week. If you want quality care go to Skyway Behavioral Health instead where you can get 2 therapy sessions a week during PHP and not have to sit on the floor. They also have a sort of a "zen room" where you can actually leave the group to chill out in among various other benefits. Not all the staff are idiots by any means but Jay in particular is very rude and unprofessional. Oh if you decide to not show up they will charge you $300. I never witnessed a treatment program be this greedy. If you like bare minimum basic programs like Linden Oaks that won't do anything for trauma this is a great place for you.

SunCloud has such caring staff. They are truly magnificent. SunCloud is the place to go to when needing a little extra care. Met some of the best people during my time there.

As a provider, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with SunCloud Health on multiple occasions, and I am consistently impressed with their professionalism, communication, and dedication to patient care. My psychiatrist recommended Suncloud because I was going through a really tough time in my life. I was hesitant because I was at another treatment facility and didn't have a great experience. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to Suncloud because the staff were all so kind and genuinely cared about helping you. Their process groups can be tough but are so helpful in working through your trauma. It's been a year now since I started treatment and I can confidently say that I learned the skills and created an amazing support group that have helped me be in such a better place. Even after you're out of treatment, they have an awesome alumni group with plenty of opportunities to connect with others that have gone through similar things. I highly recommend Suncloud.

AVOID at all costs. My intake coordinator, Aida, came off as judgmental, insincere, and flat out lied to me. After a traumatizing intake appointment that felt more like an interrogation, I was told by Aida that she could see I was in pain and she wanted to reassure me that based on my presentation/health history I would be a great fit for their program and that she was immediately going to work on my placement. She told me she would call me back later that same day with an update. I did not receive a call back. I called the office the next day asking for an update and I was told by someone else, maybe Kellie, that “we wont be able to help someone like you”. I asked if there could be any way to reconsider as I was specifically referred here by my psych and therapist and she said she would ask her supervisor and get back to me. I didn’t hear back for 2 days and again I was told they could not help me. They asked if I would like referrals to which I said yes, however referrals were never received. My psychiatrist sent an email inquiring why I was denied and now all of a sudden they say I’m a match for their residential program. Don’t let them drop the ball on you too. Keep in mind this is all happening while I’m at my lowest point just trying to find help for myself. This experience made asking for help extremely painful and quite frankly traumatizing. I ended up finding compass health center in Oakbrook- 11/10 care and they don’t treat you poorly. Highly recommend.

SunCloud is fantastic! From intake to graduation the team is there to support you in whatever type of recover you need. Staff is kind, caring and adaptive to your needs. Dedicated doctors on site. Post treatment support and groups. Would and have recommended to family and friends.

My daughter went here, it was fine but also no significant progress with her challenges. The biggest concern was a lack of proper boundaries between her and her caregivers following her discharge. There was frequent text communication between some caregivers and our daughter following her discharge, which all mental health professionals we have spoken with since about this agree is highly irregular and unprofessional
