I felt immediate relief after starting ketamine infusions at Serenity. It’s been an essential part of my anxiety treatment!

One hour before appt they called and canceled due to a mistake on intakes part. My sister was very open about what was going on and all the gentleman could say was office staff should have told her the office policies before scheduling the appointment. Yes, they absolutely should have told us the policies so we could have reached out to another provider. I get everyone makes mistakes but this is such an inconvenience especially when it is a mental health matter. Do better.

After starting anxiety treatment at Serenity, especially the ketamine infusions, I’ve felt calmer and happier than before.

I would tell even my worst enemy to stay away from Dr. Tyson. He is incredibly inexperienced and under his care I went through the most traumatic autonomic experience from hell. The TMS protocols drove me into the ER three times. I spent Christmas night in the ER as well as two other experiences around that time, ruined a thousand dollar vacation, and went over a week of waiting on him to try and figure out what on earth was going on. It took a knowledgeable tech to tell him that sometimes clients react terribly to the cognitive protocol. The worst part was that I could not communicate with this man. He would do everything in his power to not "be offensive" and would come off as offensive. He told me at one point I had a "case of the Mondays" when I would come in after a weekend of having tons of insomnia and barely holding my sleep together. I was telling him I wasn't sleeping well, and he said I was "self medicating". Yes, I was self medicating with sleep meds such as melatonin and magnesium along with medical marijuana to get through TMS alive and to get SLEEP. When the autonomic nonsense was going on the best he could do was push me into 2 more sessions of ketamine beyond the 6 that were covered if I finished TMS. As a result of that "deal" I felt locked in and I couldn't financially walk away. He assured me "no one would hunt me down for the money" but seeing the previous reviews in here about billing I won't lie I wasn't as willing to give even more debt over to a consolidator. As it stands, I still owe them over $3,200 for ketamine. I haven't seen a credit applied at all. The only positive about this from a billing stand point was Tricare covered all the TMS. I will still have to pay for those 2 ketamine sessions he pushed on me when he was trying to figure out what was going on. The only pleasurable part of the treatment process was the ketamine. It does work, but I cannot recommend Dr. Tyson to ANY LIVING PERSON. He just doesn't have any experience and doesn't know what he's doing. He will contact the owner and have him say "it's not TMS" and then change and drop the intensity of all your protocols - which I mean to me says ITS THE TMS. The only other person I have been under care from is Dr. DeKeyser and she is wonderful. I literally put her in the positive column for the sake of she is a person that cares. I wish that I wasn't on the hook for $800 (or maybe $3200??? who knows!) but here we are on the hook for more debt after just getting out of gobs of debt. I didn't like the fact that it felt like he was discussing my mood with the techs and then telling me to my face what he was discussing with them - and then I needed to reflect on it. I need to reflect on why I am so exhausted from having my brain rattled for almost a half an hour every day for 5 days a week when it's in full swing. Oh and the worksheets. You will be waking and screaming with night terrors at 3 am - literally I was screaming awake and having full on autonomic panic attacks - but his solution? Worksheet. You are "overreacting" to the situation and the worksheets will tell you how you are wrong. That is what it always felt like with him - I was wrong. All the time. The staff that DO care are great. The nurses do care, they do try to keep you on track, etc. as well as the techs. The one thing I WILL NEVER miss about him is the long drawn out round about conversations that literally went nowhere. The only thing he did right was prescribe meds to get through it, well maybe not he loves prescribing activating anti-depressants, loves saying I'm bipolar (or maybe not, he hasn't known me that long so maybe not who knows! you get a lot of who knows with him!) when 3-4 other doctors disagree. You won't get answers from this guy, and you will get stuck with a bunch of ketamine you get pushed into because you are desperate, terrified, and just want to not be in terror anymore. I am sure TMS works great for some people. It made me wake up at 3 am screaming with night terrors.

I had an amazing experience with the providers and techs, shout out to Bella who helped me to reach emotional and physical goals that I never thought I could. I highly recommend Serenity for anyone who has reached a plateau in their treatment, and/or wants to get off of medication completely.
